Professor John Fluke has been awarded the title Doctor Honoris Causa from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in recognition of his groundbreaking research in child welfare.
The VUB University Board, upon recommendation from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, bestowed this esteemed honor upon Professor Fluke for his innovative work in child welfare administrative data analysis and performance and outcome measurement for children and family services.
Professor Fluke’s research has significantly advanced the global understanding of child maltreatment epidemiology and has had a profound impact on improving child protection systems worldwide.
The Honorary Doctorate will be conferred upon Professor Fluke during a formal ceremony in Brussels, tentatively scheduled for late May 2025.
