On Monday, April 14th, The Kempe Foundation stood alongside lawmakers and advocates at a press conference, urging Governor Polis to sign SB25-086. This bill adds vital safeguards for children against the dangers of sex trafficking, illegal gun sales, and drug sales on social media platforms. With bipartisan support in both the House and Senate, we have a responsibility to prioritize our children’s safety.
Senator Daugherty took to the podium, surrounded by supporters, to emphasize the urgent need for this legislation. Through our joint efforts, we can develop potential ways to protect our children from online dangers.
At The Kempe Foundation, we see the impact of these dangers on children’s lives every day. That’s why we were there, adding our voices to the call. We believe it’s our fundamental responsibility to create a safer world for our children, both offline and online.
