Kempe at 2024 RMPBS KIDS FEST

Mental health support for children is extremely important, and the Kempe Foundation, along with the Kempe Center, were thrilled to be part of the 2024 KIDS FEST in Denver in July and Colorado Springs in August. Our TRIP (Trauma-Responsive Implementation and Practice) and Kempe Foundation team were available to teach children valuable techniques such as breathing exercises, body movement, and body and nervous system regulation. These activities are designed to help kids manage stress, solve problems, and adapt to challenges in a healthy way.

The event was filled with fun activities, entertainment, and educational resources for families. Kids enjoyed meeting Buddy the Dinosaur, Nature Cat, and Clifford the Big Red Dog, and dance parties with Daniel Tiger added to the excitement. With food trucks on-site and the option to bring your own picnic, the event was a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a day of learning and fun together.

Our partnership with Rocky Mountain PBS and other community partners is essential for creating a strong and thriving community. We bring diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise to address complex challenges. By collaborating, we were able to share resources from the TRIP program, and reach more children and families that may benefit from our programs. Learn more about Rocky Mountain PBS at here.
