Arapahoe County Aid to Agencies Grant Program Supports the KICS Clinic

The Kempe Foundation is excited to announce that we have been awarded a $25,000 grant for the Kids in Care Settings (KICS) Clinic by Arapahoe County. This grant was given through Arapahoe County’s Aid to Agencies grant program, which provides more than $500,000 in competitive grant funding to eligible nonprofit 501(C)(3) or other 501(C) organizations that provide the following services to Arapahoe County residents:

·       Affordable Housing

·       Case Management

·       Domestic Violence Support

·       Employment Skills/Services

·       Food Assistance

·       Mental Health/Behavioral Health

·       Substance Abuse Treatment

·       Shelter

·       Transportation

The support from Arapahoe County will allow the KICS Clinic to extend it’s impact on children and families. Kempe’s Kids In Care Settings (KICS) Clinic is a Children’s Hospital Colorado specialty primary care clinic in affiliation with the Kempe Center. KICS’ care model is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, focuses on both biological families as well as foster and kinship families, and is committed to health equity. The clinic provides integrated mental and behavioral health, physical health, and related coordination and navigation, all of which are critical in meeting the healthcare needs for children whom who are under the state’s care.
