A Night of Impact at the Kempe Stories of Hope Gala

On Friday, May 9th, the Denver Art Museum filled up with over 300 attendees gathered for the Kempe Stories of Hope Gala. It was an inspiring evening, with heartfelt stories that emphasized the important work at the Kempe Center. Guests had the opportunity to hear directly from individuals whose lives have been touched by Kempe’s programs, as well as the dedicated professionals who provide crucial care and support.

Kaitlyn Hix, a counselor and teacher at Skyview, movingly shared her experience with Kempe’s TRIP Program, highlighting its transformative impact. The evening’s Mission Moment speakers further illuminated Kempe’s profound influence. The Honorable Kelly Dore, a Survivor and Advocate, bravely shared her lived experience, offering a powerful testament to resilience and the importance of support. Warren Binford, Kempe’s Advocacy Director, spoke passionately about Kempe’s significant impact on addressing child abuse in the 21st century.

A highlight of the night was the presentation of the Imhoff Family Community Award to Greg Nibert, Senior Counsel at Chevron, recognizing his outstanding commitment to the community. Beyond the inspiring words, the gala was a vibrant event, featuring a delicious dinner, special entertainment by the incredibly talented Sofia Young, and an exciting live auction. From an enticing Iceland vacation package to epic experiences for sports fans, the auction added an element of fun and contributed to the evening’s fundraising success.

Thanks to the incredible dedication of the Kempe team, the generous support of our sponsors, and the overwhelming contributions of every attendee, along with those who donated, the Stories of Hope Gala successfully raised over $460,000! These vital funds will directly support Kempe’s crucial work in the lives of children and families. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who played a part in making this year’s gala such a resounding success. We eagerly look forward to seeing everyone next year for another evening of hope and impact!
